Hello, It’s Friday the 8th of April, I’m Jo De Sylva. In today’s news;
Controversial planning application gets go-ahead and Local golf club swings into action!
But first, a joint operation between police and national park rangers has been launched to encourage more families to visit Loch Lomond. Operation Ironworks is a six-month initiative to crackdown on vandalism and littering during the summer months. Maria Rasmussen reports.

Now, yesterday we reported on the controversial public meeting for the the planed JD Wetherespoons. Following that meeting the planning committee voted in favour of the proposition nine votes against two. The next stage requires an application to have the premises licensed. This Sunday Helensburgh Golf Club will tee’s off its annual open day. We went to see if the club is up to par.

And finally the weather today, sunny with showers with a high of 15 degrees and tomorrow sunny with a high of 18. And remember Helensburgh Rugby team are playing there final home game of the season against GHK with a kick-off at 3pm. Thats all for today, thanks for watching!
