With regard to local tourism, I relay believe that the tourism board has missed a "trick". every year, twice a year, the navel base, HMNB Clyde is host for the large Nato exercise Joint Warrior, with many different nations taking part. this is an opportunity to show these visitors to our shores a bit of hospitality for a few days, then next year they might come back, not with there ships, but with there family. and tidy the town up. I was in Rothesay at the week end you you would think you where in a different council area, clean, with flowers and fountains. spend some money on Helensburgh.

Ever heard of objective reporting? Hasn't the 'OWNER' of the ground offered to sell the ground to this NIMBY group? Has anyone thought about asking Mr Adams about the tree's he applied to cut down? No I didn't think so. Lets face it, we are talking about Larch trees that are grown to harvest! This isn't about 'saving trees' its about 'I don't want houses next to me'. These trees are nothing more than a dangerous eyesore to the surrounding area. Anyone with more than one brain cell, can see through this silly NIMBY protest. URTV: try a bit of objective reporting next time eh...

Thanks for taking the time to comment. We love to hear what you are thinking. With reference to your comments OMG, We asked for comments from Argyll and Bute Council, who have yet to answer our request for clarification and the land owners refused to comment, as we said in the bulletin. If the land owner would like to comment we'd love to hear from him so he can give his side of the story.
