Hello, its Tuesday the 28th of June, Im Jo De Sylva.
With the rural population growing at a faster rate in the Loch Lomond area than elsewhere in Scotland, plans to tackle the issues of affordable rural housing are due to be unveiled tomorrow, with Keith Brown MSP, Minister for housing and transport, launching the newly created position of Rural Housing Enabler for Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The project aims to help communities achieve more affordable housing, develop solutions for their housing needs and provide independent support and advice through to the construction of affordable housing.
Now, forty eight pupils from Heritage Primary school were celebrating last night, as they attended their valedictory ball at the Victoria Halls. The primary seven pupils arrived in style to their big event, with one pupil even arriving in a tractor, Nicki MacDonald was there.

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Dunbartonshire, who are thinking of getting a new pet, to spare a thought for the unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals in its care and consider rehoming a rescue pet. And the shelter, which cared for one thousand three hundred and thirty four animals last year, is also appealing for public donations of food, as Manager of the Centre Joe McDade advised that with their kennels and catteries full, they are going through a lot of food. And if you would like to adopt an animal or donate food to your local Dumbarton centre, please contact the number appearing on your screen now.
And finally the weather today, mostly sunny and a high of 17 degrees celcious. And tomorrow scattered showers and high of 16. Thats all from me today, thanks for watching.
